Here is the error I encountered while creating a Fast Search Center site ( inside a team root site ). 

"An Unexpected error has occurred.  Corelation ID:  and DateTime....."




The solution is pretty straightforward...Just enable the Publishing feature on the root site i.e
Fast Search center site can be created only in a Publishing site template...
